The campaign commenced in October 2002 when an all-embracing study of waste arising and public attitudes in conjunction with an advertising and public relations campaign resulted in a step change in attitudes to waste and levels of recycling in Devon.

Since that time the campaign has gone from strength to strength and has contributed to Devon achieving a 55% recycling rate and significant reductions in the amount of waste sent to landfill.
