What can I recycle?
Every household in Mid Devon can use the black recycling box for:
-
Glass bottles and jars
-
Newspapers, magazines and other paper (not envelopes)
-
Tins and cans
-
Yellow Pages and other telephone directories
-
Junk mail
-
Foil
-
Clothing and shoes
-
Paper based drink cartons such as those made by tetra pak
-
Plastic milk bottles (without the tops, please)
-
Plastic carrier bags
-
small household batteries
Please make sure cans and bottles are rinsed clean.
Please try and keep the different materials separate in your recycling box. This speeds up the collections, making the service more efficient. If you would like the collection crew to leave your bags for use for future separation please let us know.
If you need an extra box ,or have any other comments or enquiries, please telephone us on 01884 255255 or e-mail customerfirst@middevon.gov.uk.
