What is reuse?

We are actually very good at reusing, in fact we reuse all the time without really thinking about it.

Think about our clothes, bikes or even plates; all these things are designed to be used again and again, and if good quality, will last a long time.

Even when you no longer want your clothes, bikes or plates however, there is usually someone else who does.

'Reuse' could be defined as looking for every opportunity to use something until it is no longer useable in any way, by anyone.

Despite many different ways of reusing, there are lots of opportunities missed with things being thrown away, just because it is easier than using it again or donating it.

Easy ways to reuse;

1) Buying second hand from websites like Amazon, Ebay, Freecycle or Freegle.

2) Buy from charity shops, jumble sales, car boot sales, second hand furniture shops or reuse shops at Recycling Centres.

3) Look through the free ads in the local paper or adverts in local shops.

4) Avoid disposable items or packaging, and reuse as much as you can for as long as you can.
