Do you have an old bike that is in need of repair? Or do you want to buy a bike but are put off by the cost?
Find out all you need to know about bike reuse, repair and hire initatives in Devon.
Community bike reuse schemes
Ride-on are a social enterprise that take unwanted bikes and restore them to ensure they are roadworthy. These bikes can be then purchased at a reduced price.
They also run a variety of sessions including bike confidence for adults and children and courses on maintaining your bike. Click here for more info.
The Bike Bank
The Bike Bank is based in Exeter and teaches practical bike repair skills to vulnerable adults and, at the same time, refurbishes bikes and increases the supply of affordable bikes. Click here for more info.
You can also take any unwanted or broken bikes to your nearest recycling centre. From here the bikes are either sold on/donated to local companies or repaired and sold back to the public. Devon has lots of fantastic bike schemes whether that be repairing, hiring or refurbishing.
