Recycle Devon has teamed up with Libraries Unlimited again this year, to run World Book Day Costume Swaps at fifteen libraries across the county.
With 7 million costumes being thrown away every year, reusing instead of buying new is a great way to avoid waste, reduce CO2 emissions and save money in the process!
Visit participating libraries between Monday the 16th of February and Sunday the 8th of March to find their swap rail, where you can donate, swap or re-home preloved costumes.
It is completely free to take part in the swap and you do not need to donate in order to take a costume home.
Libraries are seeking donations of:
- Book themed costumes,
- Clean and in good condition,
- All sizes accepted,
- Accessories also welcome (hats, wands, wings etc.)
