What can I recycle?
Black recycling box
Glass – bottles and jars, please reattach lids.
Paper – office paper, newspapers, magazines, yellow pages, junk mail.
Metals – tins and cans and foil.
Plastics – plastic drinks bottles, other plastic bottles, milk bottles, plastic pots including small plant pots, tubs, trays, plastic bags (carrier bags or white pedal bin liners ONLY
Batteries – household batteries. Please place in a carrier bag.
Textiles – Clothes, sheets/ blankets, curtains and towels, shoes/handbags/belts
Small amounts of food residue stuck on food boxes is still acceptable, but please rinse where possible.
Green Recycling Box
Cardboard – cereal boxes, kitchen and toilet roll inner, cardboard packaging.
Cartons – drinks cartons, cartons used for food liquids.

Brown Bin/ Compostable Sacks
Optional, chargeable service
Garden waste – hedge clippings, grass cuttings, weeds, leaves and small branches up to 4” thick. Find out more about the garden waste service
Blue Kerbside Caddy
Food Waste – cooked and uncooked food waste, meat and bones, tea and coffee grounds, fruit and veg peelings, egg shells
Please try and keep the different materials separate in your recycling box. This speeds up the collections, making the service more efficient. Plastic carrier bags are good for keeping different materials separate and these are also recycled after collection. If you would like the collection crew to leave your bags for use for future separation please let us know.
